Default Fly your Flag

Someone asked me how I mounted my flag so I thought this would be a good post to share and for others to share their mounts and flags.

So this is how i did mine...Not the best but it has withstanded 70mph driving.

So what I used was a 6' piece of rebar i found laying in my backyard, and 3/4" eye screws(I think thats what they are called). What I did was just screw them into the plastic liner. I have been wanting to actually screw them into the metal but I've been lazy but i do into so that it is more secure.

Tailgate up.

The one thing i did change was at first i had the plastic screws but they broke off so i just changed them to metal one and i havent had any problems since then.

I LOVE the light set up you got. I just stick the pole(an old rake handle) into the tie down in the bed, I cut it down where it fits.

I took a piece of square tubing and cut it and drilled holes so I could put it in the Reese hitch. Welded a piece of pipe to it and then slid the flag pole in. Couldn't find Amy pics so all I got is crappy night pics I just took

I thought about the stakepole but i wanted a center look because i only had one flag, But 4.2 I really wanted to go that route and after seeing your truck i think i might. I also thought about the hitch idea but i didnt want to be removing it every time i wanted to pull a car out to put my pulling loop on.
Here you can see my pulling loop/truck step

Here is my setup. Just a couple eye hooks bent out to fit in a pole I had around the garage, then a couple clips to attach the flag. I will be flying it tomorrow for a local hero in Wisconsin, Ben Neal, that died protecting our country overseas...

Believe it or not my hitch/flagpole is pretty strong.. I wouldn't try to pull someone outta a mudhole but like ice or a ditch or something where you wouldn't need to ****** I think its fine
