Question Flowmaster 40 series?

... i got a few questions before i even dare ask if it is ok

1. will it improve or demolish fuel milage

2 will it be a bit louder than stock or wouls a cherry bomb be the way to go??

i just want it abit louder than the stock exhaust still quiet then when i step on it it roars

it's a 1997 f150 reg cab short box flareside

You will get a roar when you step on it, and a nice growel under normal acceleration, i see no reason why it would hurt ur performance in anyway, however, dont expect to see any gains either.

Yep, the old muffler would come off and be replaced by either the Flowmaster or the Cherry Bomb. If you decided you wanted dual exhaust you'd need a single in/dual out flowmaster. If you just want one pipe exiting the rear single in/single out.

The answer is no on the cats to by the way.

Leave the cats. If you plan on keeping your stock pipe, i would imagine you are looking at about $100-120 from any local muffler shop

i am really liking the 40 series delta flow from flowmaster.... i am thinking i will just swap the mufflers and be done with it. if i put a chrome tip on the end will that make it louder or make it quieter ?

Normal cosmetic tips are mainly for looks and aren't going to make much of a difference. One may echo a little different then the other. Just get the ones you like.

Tips wont make a hugh difference...I would go with the cosmetics of one before you worried about the sound...They may cause some drone depending on what you get...But not enough to worry about IMO.
