Flex a Lite 270 Dual Electric Fans?
Is it worth spending over $400 to install this fan on my 2000 F150 4.6 119k miles?
I am extremely curious if there is a very noticeable performance gain from doing this ?

I dont have any experience, but looked into it
you need to do some googling and reading
You might pick up small mpg. Wont pay for itself.
Dont expect "performance" gain that you feel
But mostly....aftermarket fans are poor quality.
Need to adapt an OEM fan if want to last. Several how to threads.
Above is why not that common. Nice mod, but $$$. Great for body lifts though.

I installed the 270 kit back in 2013 and with no problems since, I live in the Phoenix area where temps get up to 118 and I use to half to shut off my
A/C especially in rush hour traffic. And yes there is a some power gain from removing the stock fan. I have after market gauge installed and set fans
to kick on at 195 degrees.

You can do a junkyard OEM quality fan swap for under 100 dollars, and have it as rock solid as you can get. I have to leave right now, but I have built a few systems for myself and others if you are interested in details (built for Mustangs, Jeeps, Camaros). Usually you'll get maybe 1 mpg gain on the freeway. You won't GAIN horsepower, but rather free up horsepower being used to rotate the fan...

I do, but it's not for an F150. I have the stuff to do the F150, but haven't done it yet, lol.
I am using all of the same parts mentioned here (link below), EXCEPT that I am using a T-Bird/Cougar fan. I mounted my Taurus fan in the stock shroud for all air coverage on the radiator. That is one thing I have never liked about aftermarket fans. I had a Flex-A-Lite Black Magic fan on my Mustang, and HATED it. The shroud it came with only covered about 60% of the radiator. Great for creating space, but not so good for functionality. If you have any questions, you know where to find me.
