Default Finished my custom console.

I have an 01 sport reg cab stepside with the 60/40 split and fold down Center console. I very rarely have any passengers and don't need the Center footwell area over the tunnel so I thought I'd fill the void. Here's what it came out like!

I'll post more pics of he inside and process in a bit, I really find it handy and compliments the interior well. Thoughts comments and questions are welcome!

There you are. 👍 Sorry, posted last night after dark lol. The black faceplate hinges at the bottom and flips back, allowing access to my + fuse box inside the box as well as hooking up all the switches. The three on the left are for my rigid light bars, the next one right is for the red footwell and door handle glow and the far right is the control for my sub amp. Too lazy to hook it to the ignition lol

Looks good, but what happens if you need the drink holder? Or the lighter ports?

Well the answer to your question to the drink holder is in his first line, "fold down Center console" which of course has two drink holders .

Now for your question on the lighter ports ....

My center console only has one cup holder haha, and it's too far back for me. I think you are on to something with this, I personally would make a thing at the bottom like a half console with 2 cup holders and re-route the lighter ports or something. It's a lot easier to think of ideas than do them lol.

As was said, two cup holders in the console. As for the ciggy lighter, I always have a lighter on me, and I did install an aux box with 2 12V outlets and 2 USB ports inside, just to keep it hidden. Easy to access as the lid hinges at the front. I'll show some inside pics when I clean up the wiring.

Overall very clean man, well done. The power port and cup holder thing kinda bothers me aesthetically, but you've addressed all the functions and it works for you so who cares.

With a bluetooth OBDII connector and Torque for iPad you could be using that thing for custom digital gauges, monitoring gas mileage, fault codes, etc on the cheap.

Ya I was thinking either that or the iTSX bluetooth tuner, which is the same as you stated only I can change parameters and tunes and such. It's a bit pricey but we'll see lol

Never heard of em till now, thanks. Those are nifty. A good chunk of change but not bad at all compared to other tuners, especially for being able to do it on the fly. I imagine it can display gauges and all that good stuff too.
