When I painted my grandpas grill I took the grill out took the emblem off then put the grill in the tub and washed it with a scotch pad, warm water, and soap.. Let it dry then sprayed it with about 4 or 5 coats of duplicolor trim paint from autozone.. turned out looking better than new and still looks great after almost 2 years.. well up untill he hit a deer atleast.. he has a new chrome grill now lol

I agree the satin black looks good or flat black. I did mine after it was faded and it looks really good now. I took the entire grill out. Headslights out, corners, few screws for the gril surround then theres a few tabs to pop the honeycomb out. Then paint away. I used a scrotch pad to scruff it up and I actually used automotive paint my buddy used to paint his Chevy with a spray gun.. so I kind of cheated. Ha.

Now I'm actually planning on PTM.
