Mine's faded really bad. Did you guys tape around it, or take it off? I haven't looked yet to see if it is hard to take it off.

I used the Krylon Fusion too, works great on all my plastics.

I taped mine off. In order to take off the whole grille assembly you have to remove your headlights, take off about 15 screws and deal with some clips. I dont think the grille comes out seperate.

Duplicolor trim paint, used it everywhere on my truck. I'd take the whole assembly off to do a better job

You can paint it with it on pretty easily, just gotta make sure you get it at all angles. Guarantee my job is just as good as yours and I left mine on. It's just easier to paint if you removed it. but its more of a hassle taking all the crap off just to get the grille out.

Thanks, i was just saying you can paint it either way and you'll get the same results. Except you can get the back of the grille if you take it off, but no will never see the back of the grille so it doesn't matter.

What was done to prep for paint? Sanding? Does the Duplicolor trim paint work pretty well? I want to paint my grill, bug gaurd and trim on the bottom of the windows on the doors. All have faded; want to restore them.

No sanding. Clean it real well then apply the paint. I think krylon fusion for plastics is the best thing to use
