Default Factory trailer plugs

My 01 7 pin connector don't work? The 4 pin works fine but when I plug an adaptor to the 7 pin lights do nothing. I check everywhere with a test light all I have is running lights. No blinkers or stop. Is there some relays that I could be missing to make it work. I just bought they truck a few months ago. Any help on the matter

Try manually grounding the circuit. That will at least tell you whether or not you have a grounding issue. I found that hooking the negative of a jumper cable to the tailpipe (while cold obviously) and to bare metal on the trailer works as a ground. Had the same issue on my truck except I couldn't get it to work even on the 4 pin, eventually cleaned all the grounds on the trailer and on the connector, works good now.

Do you have a picture of the plug? Are the 4 and the 7 pin completely separate? Or are they on the same mount I guess you could call it. Because I don't think ford put the 2&1 connector all in the same mount.

That is the plug I put the other one had broke. But the 4 pin was all rubber and the wiring goes into the harness. Not to the 7pin harness plug

While looking at it the other day I think there was no relays for trailer battery charger or something like that. Should there be relays there. I think trailer back up was missing too? Are these needed to make blinkers work at 7-pin
