Oh I definitely did weld it, don't you worry. Pain doing the front weld on the top side, but I got it done up nice and tight.

And I'm fairly sure it was the 2.5 outlet I got. But that will just match up to the current truck exhaust size, so to get it to fit over the original piping, you need to expand it up. But that was years ago, so don't quote me on that.

Let me ask you if i go with a magnaflow will i need to step to a 3" inlet muffler to slip the pipes into the muffler ?

Went with a flowmaster super 44 installed it today nice sound deep but a little quite.

Yeah and 2 winters it will be rusted through just like the factory one. Spray some high temp painting it and that might help it last a bit longer.

I have the super 44 and love it. Not too loud that it upsets momma, lol, and if I ever want it louder ill just cut two cats off!

IMO magnaflows sound the best on a stock manifold and all 4 cats, just a simple muffler replacement and extra pipe with the orignal tips
