This gives me back up camera, phone options, or any item I want to plug into the USB porting. I added a 2012 Mustang steering wheel and made all my controls accessible from the steering wheel.

My Fusion has a fully operational head, from a later model Expedition. This one also has full capibilities turned on, so it can do about anything, all from the steering wheel controls.
Nice! I like the idea of having a factory head unit. Had I known about this possibility, I might have simply looked for a newer one for my truck (but I like the Pioneer, too.)

I forgot to mention. I'm also adding a Navigator clock spring and steering wheel to lil Red this spring. I'm looking for a damaged clock spring from a 97-03 F150 or SD, and then I'll change the ends so they fit the 98. This will give me steering wheel controls for my Android head. The airbag from our F150's fits the Lincoln wheel. Added to the to-do list for this spring.

I'll be watching for this, AK. This would be something I'd consider doing. Hope you make a detailed write-up when you do it.

I dont think this will greatly affect the install of a factory CD player, but does anyone know what the black trim is called in the dash or where I can get another one? You can see where someone tried to get creative at some point and notched or cut away some of it.

I want to install the Premium AM/FM Stereo/Single CD Radio with Premium Sound

Sorry to say, but I believe that that is part of the dash structure. If I'm right, you're going to need to get "creative," too.

OK, then it must not be what I'm thinking it is. That's good news. Perhaps you can find the piece at a yard.
