Default F150 y pipe

Hello. My truck has true dual exhaust, having been cut off just after the cats; and i want to convert back to a single exhaust as i lost a good chunk of down low grunt. What is the best way to go about this? Should i try find a wrecker with a stock y pipe and get it welded in, or should i go to a shop and get one fabbed up.

Id say junkyard would be the cheapest, but those pipes can be pretty stubborn to take off. So what's your time worth?

Taking a wild guess id guess the exhaust shop would set you back anywhere from 80-200$.

Hope ya get your truck running back to normal.

What's on it for exhaust? Something else has to be wrong, you should have gained a little bit of power if anything.

I ended up putting a crossover pipe (h-pipe) on my truck towards the end and noticed a bit of power. You get to keep your duals, gain quite a bit over stock and it sounds awesome. Go for that. Screw single exhaust. A proper dual set up will make way more power. There's gotta be a reason beyond what you think that's causing the problem.

Are you running mufflers? Cats? Could it be something else?
