Default F150 Driver Side Window Switch

Hey guys im new to the forum but not new to forums in general. So trust me i did search for this topic with no luck before I posted. I just got an '01 F-150 a few weeks ago for my new Landscaping business. The driver side window switch is half broken haha, it'll go up but won't go down. Basically what I need is a new switch, but it's over $100 at the dealer and I know I can find it used somewhere else. I figured I'd start here, anyone know where I can get one for cheap? or does anyone on here have one? Thanks

I do not have an extra one but I would suggest a junk yard. I would also suggest you look for junked expeditions and navigators because the seem to share most of the same parts. good luck!

thanks, but i did try that. I went to two "pull-a-part" junk yards and no luck. also i checked in the explorers and expeditions, the window switch they have is a solid panel of all four switches, instead of having the two seperate, which sucks...

My power mirror "joystick" would only go left and not right up or down a little while ago... What do you have to lose (besides roll up motion) by carefully And I stress CAREFULLY!, taking the switch housing apart and seeing if there's anything bent or out of place or broken solder, burnt, dirty from water pouring in on dust, whatever... find out what the problem is... I took my power mirror switch apart by CARFULLY prying tabs and lightly wiggling and pulling to find a thin metal plate that makes contacts for each position the "joystick" is moved to was bent out of place a bit, simply bent it back and everything works! maybe the window switch is similar, a quick bend or cleaning to make better contact might work or add a pad under the button to get it closer to contact... also you may wanna check for loose or broken wires to the window motor, yeah do that first, actually first roll yer window all the way up
