Even standard headlights blind a deer. I think he wanted it more for spotting the deer so he can try to stop. (But is is nice to have amored bumper!)

Well sometimes they come out of nowhere and then run right into the side of the truck. Nothing you can do about that though, just have good insurance.

My friend decided to take off from a party one night to go out poaching. Never made it home to get his gun. 10 pointer ran into his door. Biggest deer he ever dropped! (Most expensive too).

I've only tagged one. Thankfully it was with my boss's truck.

7000 Lumens. I know it's not legal here, but I use them on the back roads until I see another car.
How much was the light bar. I Would love to have one.

I take it that bar wasn't too cheap... what part of ct do you live in?

All of these "Rolling Stadiums" are great - and I'm really liking that LED bar - primarily since they draw less power. As an experiment, I was connecting a bunch of 100W halogens in parallel, and loading only became an issue at 40 or so amp draw (where other lighting began to dim, with AC on). So, as a number of members here have done, 2 pair of high quality lighting should be easily handled without the need for a 200 amp Police Interceptor (P71 package) alternator.

With the bracket, like $690, but the bracket needed a little modification to fit on the bull bar. Back of the light was hitting the bumper.
