I actually got approached by a cop yesterday, getting into my truck on the way home from the supermarket. I hadnt even gotten in and the guy approached me saying that they were starting to "work with the community to reduce road noise" and he asked me to start the vehicle.

I was nervous for a moment, but i started the truck and went over to stand by the cop. He just nodded and thanked me for my time. I asked if it was quiet enough and he said he was mainly looking for those vehicles equipped with the "fart cans that make the 4-banger's sound like lawnmowers on crack".

Lol... i about fell over laughing. He just smiled and went on his way

Haha back in high school our "campus cop" did that one day after loud trucks pretty much took over the parking lots. He wrote more tickets that day than all the rest of the year. Every Chevy, Ford, and GMC guy that thought they were the s*** with straights came back the next week pissed off with flowmasters and magnaflows. I then just about had the loudest truck at school with my cherry bomb! I didn't get a ticket even though it was over the sound limit, being i had a "legal" exhaust to begin with

And we wonder why there is so much crime. I guess he didn't have anything better to do than to bother you about your truck exhaust while it wasn't even running.
