Default Exhaust Question

I have the 4.6 liter, and i have the 40 series flowmaster muffler , and it isnt all that loud, and i do not want to cut the cats, or anything like that. My friend told me about a hush power exhaust that its quiet when ur sittin idle but once you get into it , its as loud as it can get. anyone ever heard of it? or have any suggestions of how to make it legally louder??

Try Dynomax VT. Its supposed to be quiet when idling and then opens up at full throttle.

Well without taking cats off, a flowmaster 40 series isn't gonna do much haha. If you wanna stick with flowmaster they make a 10 series single chamber muffler that is pretty much as loud as a muffler, like what i have on my truck. Its plenty loud, obviously not near what it could be without cats but it does the job. Give a little more bite to the deep roar but it still nothing that'll get you in trouble. A glasspack is another option, much more pop or crackle with those. Or, you can just cut off the muffler all together, mix that with a nice set of 4" tips and your gonna be sounding good

2.5" diameter pipe from the header(or manifolds in your case) back. the 2.25" diameter pipe is the main quieting factor, especially since you already have an aftermarket muffler.

Replace both your Cats and Resonators with High-Flow Cats from someone like Magnaflow. Still legal...
