Default exhaust question

Hey guys just put a Gibson swept side cat back exhaust on my truck and just isn't as loud as I expected. Any way I could make this louder such as high flow cats? Thought about headers but really don't feel like going through that job just yet. Any suggestions?

When I straight piped my 00 5.4 (just removing muffler) it was only as loud as my brothers 09 4.6 3v with a magnaflow dual catback kit.

these trucks aren't very loud in my opinion.

Cut the back cats off if you don't have emmision testing in your area. The back cats are the most restrictive part when it comes to sound.

You must be doing something wrong. I have true duals, 2.5 inch piping from manifolds back with high flow cats and glasspacks and it is boarderline obnoxious loud. I was planning on straight piping it but after trying this setup, it doesn't need to be any louder. True duals make a big difference

EDIT :

Sorry, didn't read that you had e-testing. So glad I don't, what a money grab and a scam.

Yea these trucks ain't that loud I had mine straight piped and though it was loud it sounded like a friggin tractor, I've got a magnaflow on it now and gotten used to it being quite but it sounds good when I mash the go pedal. But A buddy on here has a 4.6 with no cats and a magnaflow si/do that sounds pretty good

Ik adding headers would add some sound but what kind of headers are worth looking at? Also would anything like an x pipe or H pipe add sound ?
