Default Exhaust question

I have a dumped cherry bomb after the rear cats. Would removing the factory crossover and dumping a x or h pipe with no muffler make the sound any better looking for something with a nice sound like the mustangs. But like the look of no pipes out the back. Something with a nice idle

A better muffler such as a Borla, Dynomax, or Magnaflow will get you a much deeper sound. Depends what your definition of what a Mustang sounds likes. For the hidden part, you can dump it before the axle which changes the sound and causes more drone resonance or you can hide it behind the rear bumper for a better tone. If you do decide on duals, an X would get you closer to the sound you want than an H.

Well every mustang sounds different depending on the exhaust system and motor so thats not much help. Do you want more of a really deep sound or a throaty, aggressive sound?

In order to get that v8 mustang sound you really need the cams from one. I have a friend who did this and it sounds just like one with straight pipes and a borla muffler.
