Default exhaust

i have a 2001 XL 5.4liter 4x4 7 lug ford f-150. if i did true duals what size pipe should i go with??
and where should i cut the pipes?
and what kinda mufflers should i go with??
and would it be bad to delete 1 cat on each pipe??

from experience go with the flowmaster 40 or 50 series It depends if you want loud or just nice if you dump your pipes do it after the back axle. cutting the cats help a little but then you run into safety inspection problems. i have magna flow tru duals now and love it but im out of the loud truck stage.

DO NOT PUT DUALS!!!!!! jus take your factory muffler off and put a flowmaster 40 with NO turndowns or any pipe comin outta the muffler . it'll sound great

I did what the last poster said and just cut out my stock exhaust and put in a magnaflow and it sounds great. The gas milage is about the same maybe a bit better but adding a k&n helped out alot also.

duals wont mess up a thing, if you go true duals then you will lose torque, you could always do a cherry bomb extreme

you will not loose torque if you have true duals. just get a h pipe or a x pipe.

oh my bad, i heard that you lose torque with true duals if you dont use a crossover pipe of some sorts
