I want to put a new exhaust system on my 02 f150, I want it to sound good and be loud, what's the best one to get and how much, I don't want to spend a fortune.

 

Lots of different options. I went the cheap route and am very glad I did.

I got the Dynomax bullet and ran it 45'd out before the rear wheel with a JEGS tip. Very happy with the sound and the entire thing from the bullet, the tip, and the labor only cost me a hair over $130.

I know you can get a good mangaflow set up for around 500, before install. But i dont know if you like the sound of magnaflow. Its a deep sound, or you can always get a flowmaster set up that is loud and higher pitch.

 

i have a flowmaster super 44 SI/DO. the thing screams when you slam on it. it sounds even better now thats its broken in. whatever you do, do not buy an already made kit. they are way over priced. get your muffler and your tips, go to a muffler shop and tell them how you want it and have them weld it up for you. my muffler cost me $75, tips cost me $50 total and the guy charged me $100 for installation.

 

i paid for a "cat back" at a local shop with a flow 40 si/do and it was wayyyy too quiet so i took it all off and put a supper 44 on and dumped it under the bed. sounds much much better now.. and i did the straight pipe thing with it dumped and it sounded kinda bubbly to me for some reason, just wasnt a good sound to me.

My true dual straights are getting done on wendsday for $140 I think thats prety cheap
