Default Engine Swap - Need Help

I know this has been covered, many, many times and I'm reading the engine swap forums right now. But, I've got a 97 F-150 4x4 with 5 speed. I found a 2001 lightning engine with 53K miles I want to put in my truck. I was really hoping some guys with experience could chime in on what I would need to do this and how hard it would be to do. I can get the engine for $2750 shipped. Help please. I would greatly appreciate it.

Your going to really need to think about getting rid of the m5r2. The 5 spd will not stand up behind a L swap.

What about it wouldn't hold up? I had it rebuilt not too long ago.

A stock 5.4 can put a hurting on it. A L swap will destroy it relatively quickly, it can not handle the power or the torque.
