Default Engine swap from car.

O.K. here's a good one for you enthusiasts. My friend has '97 F150 with slipping transmission and very high mileage 4.6L. He also has a '92 Crown Vic with 4.6L which ran great but body rotted. Assuming we are to switch int. & ex. manifolds do you foresee any problems doing this swap?????
This would mean putting engine and trans. from a car into a truck..
Waddya think?

You could do it. Wiring may be a little different so you would probably need the engine harness from the f150.

The plan was to use the intake manifold from the truck and put it on the car engine-fuel rails, etc. are different. I'd also use the harness from the truck but have access to all harness connectors from car (for splicing).

You gotta make sure they're both Romeo or Windsor. Once you verify that you gotta swap the valve covers and oil pan. Other than that use everything from the truck.

Should be the same keep the valve covers off the car motor to many different ones for that use the truck oil pan and pick up tube truck wiring and manifolds only minor thing to mess you up is if the car motor has a knock sensor some do most trucks don't just take the sensor out of not needed
