You can check with a ohm meter, but honestly, I have no idea what the value should be.
Perhaps someone has a repair manual and can provide the value.
An alternate method would be to measure and record the values of all your coils, and compare.
A bad apple should show itself that way.

 

unplug the spark plug boots and check for water, ive read that dome get water in the boot and wont make good contact with the sparkplug. Might be a good idea if u put some di-electric grease while ur at it

 

My 97 was easy. Get the code read. Mine was "cylinder 1 misfire". Got a new coil, replaced the #1 coil. CEL turns off. Good as new. I assume that if it was another cylinder, the code would reflect that.

No kiddin. I only had to change #2 in mine but just had to replace em all in my moms expedition
