Jam, just google rebuilt engine Ford F 150 and which engine you want. That's how I found them. And I even recognize the names of the rebulders as being long time companies. You can also check Ebay. Several local engine distributors in my area advertise rebuilt engines with 3 year 100,000 waranties starting at $850.00 depending of whether it is a short block or a long block. The company even offers to install the engine for $800.00. Sounds like somebody it trying to rip you off.

well ill just take my chances with the engine i got i guess. its in and its running smoother than it ever did with the old engine. but i appreciate your concern.

What I really want to know now is how much did you pay in labor to have the engine replaced? I'm guessing that is a lot more than any engine costs.

we actually replaced the engine ourselves. it was definitely a pain but it saved a lot of $$. lol
