You don't have a 96 f150 with a 4.6. You may have a made in 1996 F150, but it is a 1997, if it has a 4.6. It also matter is you have a Windsor or a Romeo design motor when you go out for a replacement. The parts are not all the same. A Windsor has 13 bolts on the drivers side valve cover and the Romeo has 11 bolts. The flywheels are different also. The serial numbers will have for the 8th digit, either a W-Romeo or a 6-Windsor. This is very important when ordering early model modular engine parts. You stated that you had a Romeo, so you know. I put this out for others who may be thinking of doing this swap. I hope this helps.

yeah I was in a rush typing it out. I wanted to get it posted before I went to the gym so I'd have some responses when I came back.

I took everyone's advice & found the engine I needed without the third party involved. however, I'm still trying to find anyone's input on apxengines.com
no, I'm not buying from them, I just want to see if anyone has been scammed by them or if they were unhappy with what they got. their Facebook(auto parts xtreme) claims to have an "A" rating with the BBB, BUT when I looked them up on BBB they are nowhere to be found. little bit fishy eh?

The BBB thing is just a ploy. Finding nothing means that they haven't any registered complaints w/BBB. So in essence, -anyone can say that and they do as it sounds good to a consumer which may help push their product.
