Default engine putter

I am having some problems with my 2002 V8 4.6L. 96k miles.
When I am accelerating in between 45-55 mph I get like a putting or bucking of the truck. It feels like it is being choked. If I completely accelerate through this range to get to a higher speed it doesn't happen, only when I maintain this speed range. Almost, feels like it wants to stall out. I have put in injector cleaners to no avail. I am not getting a service engine light on. I also hooked it up and had no diagnostic code readings.
ANY IDEAS?

To me, it sounds like an injector problem. Cleaning injectors, doesn't always solve the problem.

My 2001 had the same issue. It was
Being caused by a coil pack starting to fail (after 2000 the 4.6 doesn't have plug wires). If the computer doesn't set a code you can try forcing it. I left my code reader hooked up and drove a few miles at 40 -45, causing the engine to sputter. That set the code so I knew which coil pack to change. It's pretty easy to swap one out.
You can also test the coils with a volt meter but it's a PITA.
You might also try your fuel filter or spark plugs. I've seen both cause this also.
