I agree with rcruz3568. By the sound of it (the "pop" and "air" sounds) I would think there is a strong possibility that a plug blew out.

People are far more aggressive compared to the last time I visited this site. You used to be able to ask a (reasonable) question without getting spammed. If you want to help, post something. If not, take the bs elsewhere.

I blew a plug back in the spring. It was a loud pop then all I heard was loud chugging air almost like motorcycle exhaust. I ordered a kit off Amazon. The guys here helped walk me through the repair (along with a lot of research myself). I spent a week just reading what had worked/failed for guys.

Finally did the repair in an afternoon. 7 months in running strong.

I started by inspecting each COP. If you blew a plug you will most likely be missing or have a damaged COP.

Thumbs up Thanks

Yes it was a blown out plug on the #4 cylinder. The plug blew out, but landed back in the hole and the coil was broken but stayed in place. I ordered the kit that replaces the plug with a bushing and modified plug. I hope that does the trick. I'm already 350 in the hole for the tow, I was an hour from home. If it works, I'm going to order a second kit to keep in my tool box. Thanks
