Check engine came on code p0171, what should i look at first.. it appears to mean it is running lean

It could be an 02 sensor

 

Check your hoses that come out of your intake
Manifold

 

Hey did u ever find out what was wrong with it?

 

I have not... but going to mess with it today.. I believe the excaust manifold has some issues as the truck it a bit loud until the excaust warms up... also if you slam the door with the truck cold you can hear the exaust rattle... when the truck is warm this doesnt happen....

I am assuming this as an exacust manifold not an intake manifold issue but honestly I would not know what the intake manifold looked like even if someone smacked me in the head with it...

 

p0171 is system too lean on bank one which is passenger side. now both banks arent running lean its just the one. check for exhaust leaks around that side and intake manifold leaks and cracked hoses and all that such. im going to rule out maf because it controls both banks and if your maf was bad it would run like ****.
