The weakest link is usually the Rods (95 % of the time or better) and rod bolts. Pretty much any 4340 forged rod is gonna handle 500 easily. The pistons are Manley Street Master .020 over bore.

I went with Oliver billiet with arp 2000's so I have no need for any of that stuff.

Also saw you bought something that goes bang. By the way, I think I found a guy to make my headers. He's doing the same swap in a 98 4x4 and can match em to his that hes fabbing up.

Oh yeah still waiting on heads from the machine shop...

Jferg is wanting to stick with a gentle hone of cylinder bore instead of going ***** out and doing .20 over haha

Hopefully Jferg's walls are in great shape mine were about .010 out, so I went with the popular and easy to find .020 bore.

My builder bored and hot tanked the whole thing for 100 bucks. So was well worth it to me.

I've got the h beams with arp bolts (8740s I think)
What'd the Manley's pistons run you? I will be ordering the same Mahle's as myfx4 but 16cc instead of flattop of course.

Hopefully yes. It will need bored after Looking more closely before I wrapped it up. I just need to pick up these lightning parts parts and strike a deal for a core.

Doesn't Manley offer a .010 piston option though?

I went with manley flat tops, not mahle. Mahle is just as reputable as manley if not better just from reading reviews.
