Jferg, I'm not pulling the engine, it runs great so I'm just tearing down to the short block. Stud it and put a loooooot of new parts in her.
The way to get around the cab issue is to massage the cab near the driverside rear head bolt. You only need enough clearance to pull the bolt up enough to remove it with the head. Just peel the heat shield back first. Use plenty of lubricant on the up-pipe bolts as they like to seize. Since you will be removing the turbo, get the upgraded feed and drain lines. They help with flowing more oil thru the turbo to help keep it cooler.

I have done this job more time than I fair to count. If you need to know anything dont hesitate to ask me. I can provide to a cell number to make it alot easier.

You will need to remove the heater control box which is 8 bolts/nuts and comes out quite easy.

The Zoodad mod helps even with a aftermarket Intake.

Let me know when you want the tune and I'll get you one from Vivian with my discount.

If you plan to service the rearend, the 08 finned rearend cover is less that $60 bucks, would be a good time to install that at the same time.

The 6.0L also have a external tranny filter, I'd changed that too. It's located near the passenger side wheel well.

I picked up the AFE front and rear diff covers as well as the trans pan too that holds 7.5 more quarts. I need to get that external though. Already put new Motorcraft internal in.
I'll consider the zoo dad..I'll keep you in mind for the Vivian as well
