Just looked up open headers to get an idea of how bad it would be until I could afford full exhaust,some people were saying it would harm the motor. Any truth to this? I plan on making a 125 mile trip and probably racking up a total of 850 miles before exhaust.. at least 250 on the interstate.

 

Don't do it. Not only will you **** off every cop within 2 miles of you, you stand the chance of burning up the exhaust valves. Get your pipes first.

 

What about just around town for a few days? I know I'll probably get cop attention,that's why I'll have my flowmaster riding shotgun and say I'm on the way to the exhaust shop lol

 

Something tells me that no matter how many times I tell you it's a bad idea, your going to do it anyways.

 

Will it hurt it to ride around town?

Well in Chevy world you would be. You will be a cop magnet and you could possibly get sick. lol... But its fun, do it poosea.
