Electrical issue with rear lights

Default Electrical issue with rear lights

My son's 01 has no rear lights eye level doesn't work either but it may just be a bulb have not gotten that far yet. I did repair the multi-function switch wiring still no dice. any ideas before we take it to the shop? He doesn't have the funds for that neither does dad TIA

I think I just printed those wiring diagrams over the weekend. Shoot me a PM with your email address, and I'll send you copies. That will give you some ideas on troubleshooting.

Check the common ground before anything else. Do you know the condition of the tail light bulbs?

Light bulbs are good. I have found the ground wire at the lights has power

Under what condition(s)? This may simply mean that the ground is disconnected somewhere. Does the ground wire show voltage with the bulbs (all of them) removed?

Well now I can't repeat the that issue. Have not looked at it much over the weekend due to being out of town.

Alright I have no power to either side of the #15 fuse. which is brake light switch, gem... brakes on or off. There are several other fueses with the same issue.

I wonder if anyone ever came out with a way to bypass the GEM totally. Seems more trouble than it's worth to me.
