Default Electrical connector

I just bought a 2000 F-150 4x4 4.6 extended cab. I found an electrical connector under the dash near the pedals that I do not know what it does. It is grey and has 5 wires in a 6 connector plug. I do not know what it goes to. The only issues with the truck are the ABS light is on and my scan tool will not read the OBD II port. It says no data. Ill try and attach photos too.

I forgot to mention, it has a clip that would lead me to believe it was attached to something in the dash (see nylon push clip)

its unplugged on my truck and both of my friends's trucks too. it might some sort of diagnostic port for the abs is what i thought i heard from someone else on this forum i cant remember... anyway check your cig lighter fuse aux power fuse and DLC fuse. that might be why your scan tool is not communicating

Trailer brake controller connection. When you buy an electric brake controller you can state the make a model, and the controller will come with the connector to plug right in there. Saves from splicing wires.
