Default Electric short??

My display on the factory radio quit working, radio still plays so I'm moving on but my odometer is messing up and would like to know if anyone had to deal with this problem and if what they did to fix.

Truck is a 2000 xlt super cab f150. V6 manual 5spd. The odometer will quit showing for a few minutes then pop back on, the mileage is the same just the display will quit off and on, I wonder if it's my key ignition? I have wiggled it around but doesn't affect improvement. So what you think?

All other dash lights and displays work and don't short out, seat belt light, air bag, cruise displays all work, just my darn odometer shuts on and off

The two issues are unrelated, there is a fix for the odometer in another thread- you pull the cluster and repair a break. The radio is probably just the radio backlight which could probably be repaired by a pro or you just get a new radio. Unless your backlighting is turned down via the **** next to the headlamp switch.

Yes. I made it. It's in the how-to section on this forum under electrical I think. Either that or interior
