Default efan question???

Ok so my gf just had her car in the shop because the efan wiring in her 02 grandcherokee melted. don't know why but they put a new fan and relay in it with new wiring. Well lastweek the radiator totally blew up so I put one in. But.the fan shroud was busted and it only comes as a replacement as the fan assembly. So another new fan went in. Well I still have the rather.new fan. Its an 18" fan. Is there any way I can use this on my 99 f150?

Yep. Some people use a mark 3 fan which I think is a 18. Just fab up some brackets and get a fan controller and your good to go

Where do I find the right kind of fan controller? Also is there another way to just run it with a manual switch in the cab.

Just pick whatever controller you want. There's tons of them for every application. You can wire it to a switch too, you just have to remember to turn it on, where a controller you don't have to do anything. I wired the high speed fan on my old truck to a switch and I used a 40amp relay and switch and 12ga wire.

It's nice to have 2 people if you rent the fan puller. You can take an air chisel to get it loose though, that's easier

Ok do you think oreillys should have a fan puller? Alsowould it be.possible to use heavy duty zipties to hold the fan to the radiator? And is there a specific relay block that I need?

How heavy is the fan? Little light fans are ok to zip tie to the rad but heavy ones will wear through the fins. I'd make some custom brackets for it if theres a shroud. A regular high amp relay will be fine. If you need help wiring it I'll help ya
