Edge Programmer
I've never played with the Edge in person ...I have a few questions
1. Can you adjust the timing to whatever you want through out the RPM band, or is it automatic?
2. Can you enter in your tire size/rim size to correct the speedo?
3. Can you adjust the shift points to whatever RPM you want?

The timing can be adjusted in .5 increments. I would have to get out my book for the exact details, but here is the basic rundown.
If the #1 tune calls for 87 octane, and you run 89, you can bump the timing .5 for every octane # higher. Same with the #3 tune which calls for 91 octane if you run 93. (just examples off of the top of my head).
The problem is that if you try to bump the timing too much to the point of detonation, the computer will start to pull it back, and you will actually lose power. Or if you go more than the computer can adjust, you will get detonation.
Tire size can be entered in mm circumference to adjust the speedo. Also the gear ratio if it's different from stock.
The monochrome Evo would let you set the max RPM and shift points by RPM.
Also part throttle shift points by MPH + or - from stock, and shift firmness.
The CS doesn't allow you to set max RPM, or shift points by RPM. Kind of a bummer, but the 5,000 redline is set high enough for me (and my serpentine belt).
You can still do the part throttle shift points and shift firmness.
You can also set the governer to 200 mph.

I got mine to firm up the transmission shifts and run it on tune #2. It feels like it has a little more power but it's only because the transmission performs better. I didn't get any better milage. It looks good though. It says on the box up to 15hp but even if you you do get what they claim which I doubt. You can make more hp or get better milage cheaper other ways. I plan on getting a gryphon cs so I can run some better tunes.

With the CS there ISN'T any adjustment for WOT shifting for our year trucks.
The Edge's setting is higher than stock though.
With the Monochrome version, it IS adjustable.
Just a simple screen. The power cord on these are known to fail often on them for the year trucks 1997-2003.

This is the color screen version. The CS. About $70 more than the other one, but no power cord issues. These also can be custom tuned by PHP.
