edge evolution ?
i just got my edge evo in today and installed it in my truck went from a 10.5 0-60 to 8.1 but i feel like first gear isnt gettin it enough its kind of like a lag.. also when i try to adjust anything on custom tune it makes my truck bounce from 600 rpms to 1000 at idle and when i hit the gas it bogs down.. is there anyway i could make my first gear faster and not have the bogging down problem? i have a 2002 f-150 fx4 5.4 with a cold air intake sittin on 35s any info will help thank you
Well, the 35's are bogging it the most. Change your WOT all the way up, I believe it's 1.4 instead of standard 1.2. That's should help. Maybe the engine limit to 5200 rpms. I'd have to go check my edge to see exactly what its called. But try the WOT settings
Before you go messing with the custom settings, learn what they are, what they do, and why you are changing them.
How does it run on the standard #1,#2,and#3 settings?? (no custom options)
Also make sure you have high enough octane gas to run the #3 setting. Just adding 91 isn't enough. I run a while with the low fuel light on, put 10 or so gallons of 93 in, and run it down past the low fuel level again before filling up with 93 and changing to #3 tune.
If not enough octane, your engine will pull timing and end up with less power than what you started with. Not to mention detonation.
Reset everything back to the factory settings, select the tune you want, only set the tire size and gear ratio in custom settings, and go from there.

You have a canned tuning device, you're only going to get so much out of it. You can adjust shift points to get the most out of the gear you're in, but actual other gains can only be accomplished with real custom tuning. Changing parameters like WOT fuel on a PCM that goes into open loop during WOT doesn't add anything.
