Default Edge Evolution

I got a free edge evolution programmer from my buddy today. He sold his truck and bought a 250. First question is can I use it since it was on his truck and is it worth it with my truck having 216k miles

Yes if he un-married it (returned to stock) and yes it's worth it. Not sure why it wouldn't be?

Just put an sct on my truck and it has 160,000. You'll be fine, unless of course you like the extra power and beat the livin sh\¥ out of it.

I picked up an Evo for my '98. Wasn't free, but because it's an older model, and cannot do custom tunes, it was around $200, as "new old stock." This was instrumental for getting rid of those dreaded "lean" codes (no vacuum leak present). This also helped me resolve a gauge cluster problem, where the tach was reading 700 RPM over actual. Did it really change performance or add MPG? No. Worth it? Yes.
