Default E-Fans

I'm looking to install e-fans on my 97 F-150 V6 but with so many different brands out there, I don't know which one to go with. What brands/set-up do you guys suggest I go with?

You can goto the junk yard and pull a dual E-fan setup from a Taurus or something

Yea I've been checking the local pick-pulls for the last two months, and have not been able to find anything. I'm just looking to purchase something now since summer is coming.

That's the fan I put in my truck, they push a ton of air.

That's the controller I've got, it's variable speed and controls both the high and low circuits of the taurus 2 speed fan.

The whole setup with the zip tie type fan installers from pep boys or whatever is right at $200. If you look up DCC reviews you'll see nothing but good, and I've had no problems with mine, very easy install.

See I got the 2sp controller, the cheaper one and I have no problems at all. What is the benefit of the fk-50p? I couldn't really tell any difference other than price.

Reading through I guess mine isn't variable like I thought. The more expensive one Has some over current protection and crap. I used circuit breakers so that's no big deal. I guess it's up to you at that point, I don't have any long term experience with mine, just a couple months. I read that the DCCs were variable and never even thought about it. I was kinda wondering how the 2 relays could do it, I just kinda figured there was a PC board underneath that you can't see.

Oh yeah and what are the spal fans?

The amp rating is the difference in the 2sp and Fk-50p. 2sp is for smaller fans like the fans on the Taurus, the Fk-50 can handle 16"+ fans. Just a little extra insurance for the larger one.

I see that also. I did a good bit of research before and found a lot of trucks with the 3.8 taurus fan in them and decided to start out that way, especially since it's not a DD.

Oh yeah and what are the spal fans?
