Default Dynomax Bullet

I've read so many different posts, articles and videos about the Dynomax Bullet. I think I want to go with it. It's only like 40-45 bucks for one. My question is, what is the cheapest way to remove the factory muffler on my 02 Screw 5.4 2wd and install the bullet? Will clamps work? Extension pipe is needed I think since the factory muffler is very long? Any advice?

I had a shop install mine but I LOVE IT! Great sound on mine, and for everything a shop only ran me around 140 including an extension pipe is needed. If you don't want to go that route, my best advice is to measure the length from where you cut the old muffler off to where you make the second cut, subtract the length of the bullet and buy an extension pipe a half inch longer than the difference you got. Then clamp along every seam. Good luck and good muffler choice!

Yeah I might just get a muffler shop to weld it since it wont cost that much more when considering the fact that clamps and extension will add up the cost of the bullet.

You could just cut it off, buy some flexi pipe and clamp it on, I got my Flow master 10 series welded on (and old muffler cut off of course) for 100 dollars. I pay cash though so he works out deals with me, but it's not very expensive and you know it's done right. The exhaust clamps rust and pretty much have to be cut off lol.

You both got raped! I installed a full cat back on mine for about 30 cents worth of welding wire. Sorry, had to rub it in

Man I wish I could get an exhaust welded in that cheap around here. Cheapest I've gotten was 150. Hell they charge 70 to cut your muffler out and weld on a down turn around here.

Guess you pay a premium when you live in the 5 billion dollar mile lmfao.
