dynamat
Dynamat isn't a sound deadener. It's meant to add mass and rigidity to materials to cut down on resonance and vibrations. You'll need a different material for actual sound proofing. Don't get me wrong, it will cut down on some road noise due to it being fairly thick and dense but it's not what it's primarily meant for.
As for the Peel n Seal stuff, be very careful with it. It's meant to go on roof tops outside. Slap a bunch of it inside your ride and it'll stink to high heaven especially after a nice hot day.
Dynamat isn't the cheapest stuff on the market but it is the best stuff. It's very dense, applies easily and will last virtually forever.

I did notice a little odor in my wifes care the first day, but never since then
Mine didn't stink to high heaven. You could faintly smell it right after... but it went away rather quickly and never smelled again. I've got Dynamat in my Mustang, and I personally think the Quickroof I did worked every bit as good.

Smelt- past and past participle of smell.
If you're going to play grammar police, at least be correct...

With products like Second Skin and Raamat out there at very reasonable prices, I just think it's better to go with products that are meant for automotive and dampening purposes.

Yes in British English you are correct, however, in Western English you are incorrect....the correct usage of the word, here in the US, IS smelled, and NOT smelt.
I am correct. Read down until you discover it if you like.

So call Texas British then, smelt is a common spelling and pronunciation around here.
Maybe it is a hick thing too?
Ya'll can use smelled, I ain't going too.
But truthfully, it probably comes from what white89gt said, "First who smelt it dealt it"
