Default Dtc?

Hi everyone,

i recently had a check engine light come on in my truck (97' 5.4L). It is for the engine running rich bank 2 "adaptable". the truck doesnt run all that bad but the milage has definetly droped off. it could possibly be for the injectors i put in the truck (similar to stock) but i replaced them a couple months ago and its now throwing a light. any suggestions or ideas why and/or solutions would be GREATLY appreciated

Default gas drop

sounds like you might have a o2 sensor going bad.... if it was from the injectors, it sohould have gotten the code from both sides.... IMO

If its code P0175 could be as simple as a dirty air filter. My vote would go toward bad O2 sensor also.

Default o2

unplug the sensor, and see if the mpg comes back.. the o2 wont be sending a code so the comuter will go back to neural position, and the MPG should go back up.

Default Update

the engine just recently thown another code its for the Bank 1 running rich. so i back stepped to the injectors. i read up on them its says that they must be used with a high performance mass air flow sensor. the thing thats getting me is the fact that it took till now to thow a light. its also throwing a P1000 code not sure what that means its not in my book. air filter is starting to get dirty so ima clean that too (need to find a K&N oiling kit if anyone knows where to find that) well any sugestions/comments would be GREATLY appreciated. The truck still running alright not as good as it should but still ok.

Default injectors

yeah im running 24lb injectors. however i was getting a O2 sensor high voltage / low voltage on both banks. so i just guessed and removed my hypertech program and the lights havent come back on since i dont know whats going on. ima probably e-mail hypertech and try to find out whats going on still dont know what P1000 code is either. i also put in a jet performance MAF sensor so ill probably re-install the programer and see if the light comes back on that way i can pin point the problem. if im missing something or overlooking some please help me out. thanks everyone!
