Default Drone gone

I put a straight through glass pack muffler in a few months back at first the cabin noise was ok but the last few weeks the drone had become too much for me. I remember I put the round weighted piece that was on the stock exhaust back about where it was on the stock pipe. Yesterday I moved it to behind the muffler. Drone gone cruising at 55 on a local limited street and cabin was quiet. First pic was where I put it second is where it was.

Is the black sooty looking stuff on the pipe spray paint or soot?

As the clamps are different between the pics, did you upgrade the clamps while moving the weight?

Any chance you can snap a picture of the part-stricker inside the rear bumper cover?

That’s interesting. I can’t tolerate exhaust drone.
When I was 12 Dad put dual Cherry Bombs on his new ‘66 Mustang, turned down in front of the rear end. After a 500 mile round trip riding in the back seat my head was exploding. In high school friends all ran Thrush, Purple Hornies, etc. I ran stock big block or turbo mufflers, never a loud muffler then nor since. I’m fond of slightly loud mufflers, on someone else’s vehicle 😏
