Default Drilled and Slotted

Hi guys
I was just wondering if any of you have a set of drilled and slotted brake rotors on your 97-03 150s? I need new rotors and i was wondering if they are worth it for our trucks or if the factory ones are good enough? also i was wondering where you would get drilled and slotted rotors. and what kind of pads are you guys running on your trucks?
Thanks

I'm running EBC Dimpled and Slotted Rotors, and Yellowstuff pads front and rear. They were an upgrade from the stockers I was running with my 37"s. Maybe 20%-30% better. I needed to replace the brakes anyways, and a big brake kit is way too much cash. I don't notice alot of dust build up, but I wash regularly, and use a wheel sealer.

In my opinion, if you have big wheels and tires, you may feel the difference, but I think with stock sizing, your better off with stock style rotors, and high quality pads.

i just put some EBC Ultimax slotted rotors on. ($250/set) makes a big difference from my stock rotors thats for sure. i always think you get what you pay for. Im running some wagner thermo quiet pads in both the front and the rear ($50 set) to get a good set of rotors you usually have to order them. try autopartswarehouse.com . thats where i got mine from. they have free shipping.

My 97 5.4 4x4 is due for new brakes. Is it possible to convert my rear drum brakes to disc brakes?

I already asked this question a while ago cuz i wanted to do the same thing so to save you trouble, yes its possible, no its not worth it. Your prob gonna spend anywhere from $600-$1000+ and alot of labor is envolved too for just a little more stopping power and unless your haulin stuff everyday theres not alot of wieght in the back of the truck so the drums are already more than enough stopping power for the back. When you brake especially in a truck most of the wieght about 70-80% of it goes to the front(alot of weight if its a truck) so thats where you want to put your money into. Get some drilled rotors and ebc pads and that will be pplllenty of stopping power. If you got alot of money to spend(1000-2000) get the brembo front brake kit and you will literally stop instantly lol not to mention the big oversized brake rotors and red calipers will look badass
