Default double pcv experiment?

i have edited the post to make more sense.

i had an idea today which after working outside all week and clearing storm debris, may or may not be a great idea. i kept the old pcv valve after replacing it with new motorcraft on passenger side valve cover. On my truck there is a similar hose on top if a fitting with same thread as pcv valve.

After roughly 1500 miles im still having oil burn and a bit of exhaust tap... i decided to out the old pcv valve on the drivers side and have noticed slightly better throttle response and the tick on throttle has lessenedgone away... im thinking that at worst it cannot hurt... i know that it was considerably cooler today with rain and low 70s compared to almost 90 but am wondering if there was not a slight leak in the 90 i relaced with the old pcv or if it is actually helping... any thoughts? i might have invented my own mod OR my truck might simply explode...

You have a pcv on the driver side?! Pics?

Yes the hose on the passenger pcv causes issues.

i dont think its MEANT to be there but the fitting has the same threads as the pcv. i just used the old one... i really only notice more positive throttle response but it just be placebo... im planning on leaving it in there fir about one or two tanks of gas... and also see if the oil burning is reduced... but the weather here us so up and down its tough to gauge... ill take a pic after work...

Yea, just put it back the way it was man. Truly your best bet.

For a vac leak, - verify warm idle rpms in park first. That will confirm a vac leak pronto. Then go from there.

passenger side pcv

driver side pcv with hose off for visual

im going to leave it that way for at least one tank... like i said, she seems to have more throttle response with it in... and i want to see if mileage improves... it cant di any damage as far as i can tell... the fitting didnt seem that bad off and its the same hose. i got lucky when i found this truck... the only issue i really have is on Max Air. i get no air flow... its really cold but no air, which im going to research a bit before i make a post

I guess this isn't a joke ?

So you installed a PCV valve in the breather port ? Yea, you should of just listened to my first post.

This is beyond loony. Not sure how I could help ? Wait, google image the combustion engine. Perhaps you'll find a good drawing about how it works. Seriously, at least do this, if your that far out in left.

really not that crazy considering the amount of time people spend talking about the cold air intake mod... ill admit it didnt come from a ton of deep thinking but i can undo it in less than 10 seconds... and it did lead me to revisit the air conditioning issue...

yeah i wasnt trying to build jesus's new hot rod and i think im in line for a wacky idea. i just see what the negatives would be, although no legitimate positives. but i am trying to limit the oil burning issue.
