I am having this issue along with a few other electrical issues. I traced it down to the Generic Electronic Module (GEM) which is connected to the fuse box inside the truck. This is commonly caused by moisture coming in contact with the computer/fuse box. If you look at my other post about the GEM you will understand exactly what I am talking about.

Take off the cover on the fuse box on the inside of the truck and feel the relay top left second one down and see if it is warm. You can pull this relay out while your truck is parked so it does not drain your battery.

Also pop the hood and feel your alternator to see if that is warm after the truck has been sitting, this is caused by the voltage regulator in the alt being stuck open because of the GEM.

Let me know if you are having any of these symptoms and I might be able to help you out.

Is anything else malfunctioning?

Spray the hell out of the door latch with your favourite spray lube. The switch is in the latch and this happens to them every so often.
