I have a 2000 XLT with the vinyl on a smaller section of the door card coming out. It is the area that surrounds the door handle and appears to be at least somewhat separate from the rest of the card. After removal, it appears that the smaller part does not in fact remove. My question is, if this is a common problem, has anybody been successful in getting the vinyl back down into that channel in a clean fashion? Or am I stuck with the only possibility of a new panel if I want it to look decent.

Im having trouble visualizing what your asking. Prolly because my truck does not have vinyl on the doors? but a pic or two would help

 

It can be recovered. Go talk to your local upholstery shop

 

I guess that's what I'll have do then. About how much should that run just for an OEM look?
