the sensor is either getting sticky or worn out. Spray some lube on the sensor and see if it helps, if not you'll probably have to replace the sensor.

What sensor is that? Where is it located in the door?

It attached to the latch assembly inside the door. Like the previous guy said, spray lube up in the latch area everywhere and you should get it. I can't say exactly where it is cause I can't access fmcdealer at the moment to look at parts diagrams.

Try spraying some lube on the latch then open and close the door a couple times. If that doesn't work then you probably need a door ajar switch. They're usually one whole piece with the door latch so you might end up having to change that.

I know this thread is a couple of months old but maybe someone is still monitoring this. I also have my door ajar on my digital read out. I tried lubing the doors but it didn't work. I have noticed that I also have no driver door control panel door lock switch is not working and my auto headlights on are not working either. It's making me think that something electrical has knocked out multiple systems. I found the fuses and relays on the shotgun floor kick panel, what a bad place to put it. I guess I will have to pull each fuse and relay to check it, I looked in the owners manual and it is not very specific on fuse identification. Thanks for any help

pull the fuse, set a flashlight in the door compartment when its dark and make sure you close your door before driving - problem solved
