Default Dome Light Not Working

Hey Guys, I did a search on here and came up with nothing related to my issue. When I bought the truck the cab (dome) light was inop. The map lights worked fine so I let it go until I could replace the bulb. I replaced the bulb and all was well until recently when it quit working all together. No map lights or dome light. I looked at the fuse panel but there's nothing for a dome light except the relay in the #1 position.

Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe an odd question, but do they work when the doors are open?

My owners manual says #2 is the battery saver. Also it's yellow and the #1 is black but other than that they look the same. Think I should try switching them around and see what happens? I almost did that last night but the yellow relay kind of made me hesitate. I was thinking it may be connected to the airbag system somehow.

Check to make sure the screws holding the dome light up are tight. Sounds to me like they might be loose and you're not getting a good ground,

Had the same issue the other day. Had the headliner out to replace rear window and when I was putting the light back together it popped the fuse. Fuse also powered my power windows. Replaced fuse and was fine. I agree with checking the screws to see if they aren't loose causing a bad ground. Hope this helps

Relay #1 is the dome light relay; check that. I will say if you have power windows and they still work fine; don't bother. That relay does control both systems.

Well looks like that was it. I kind of feel stupid now. I thought I checked all the fuses but I looked again...this time in the daylight and found the 15amp fuse blown. Thanks all for the help.
