Default "Doesn't fit the Supercrew"...why the hell not!?

I'm looking for aftermarket accessories for my 02 SC but always run into the problem of "it won't fit....." and i'm tired of trying to look around or think of a way to make it work so i'm here asking for your help/advice. I wanted a black 1 piece headlight assembly but most I find don't work with HID's (problem 1). I also wanted the cutout or pocket style bushwacker fender flares but they don't fit the Supercrew (#2). And last but not least, the SD tow mirrors we all want yet can't have. Anyone know why? Ah that's right, it doesn't fit the Supercrew.. lol it's ridiculous. If you have answers, please please help haha i'm gettin gray over this

Somebody had a good suggestion the other day on here. Go to a junk yard, sorry..auto recycling center, and buy a junk item you are thinking of to see exactly what makes it tick. A couple of bucks into a broken headlight assembly or mirror for a regular truck may give you a lot of information.

You may find it's some simple mods, or a forgetaboutit situation.

The black belt moulding along the bottom of the windows on the supercrew is about twice as thick as any other model, therefore requiring a little "fabrication" to make another mirror fit. It can be overcome easily with a dremel.

As for the headlights, I dont see any difference. Hell, Lightning headlights are a common upgrade and they didnt come in supercrew.

Oh, with the headlights and HID's its a reflector compatibility issue. The bulb goes into a chrome deflector that redirects the light backward to the reflector (shiny silver). That deflector has to be set much farther forward in order to clear the longer HID bulbs.

EDIT- this statement applies to headlights that have clear covers with no reflecting/dispursing capability (ie: Lightning headlights). They have that chrome deflector. Most headlights that have dispursing lines in them (ie: stock headlights up to 2003) dont have that.

what about most aftermarket ones? Do they have the deflector? I know I can't get projector headlights but I was looking at these...

I have those headlights and just got my HID kit for them. I just ran out to my truck to see if they fit. the bulb fits in the headlight but I have not hooked them up yet. i just ran out there to see if the bulb would push in and it does fit the same as a regular bulb. the bulb is longer though so i don't know how that is going to affect anything but they fit

and i have a 2003 supercrew

I want to upgrade my mirrors. Our trucks share the same doors as the Expedition.

Yeah, it sucks. So should these fit our trucks then?
