Sooo I'm driving down the road and I spot a NICE 5.4 2002 f250 at the dealership... 203k miles! But its blue with gray. Supercrew; xlt; 6.3/4 bed; 4x4. Nice inside. Ac works.. 6 disc cd player.. Leer matching color cap. Bed liner. Tow package; Carpeted roof in the cap with locking roof gun rack.. Brand new looking Cooper brand tires..Dual exhaust (sounds badass)

What should I be looking to pay because of the miles... I know it's on it's last leg... But It still felt powerful test driving.. They want 9k after the tax and tags..

I would more then likely have to use my f150 as a family work truck.. (bye bye for little to no money..)

Thought it was a 7.3 at first and then I saw 5.4. Still a good engine. Some of these engines last a good while. If you find a good diesel, that would have plenty of life left. Then again that 5.4 can still last a long time.

Tell them 8000 out the door it would be better with a power stroke the 5.4 will have a hard time lugging that truck around it would even be better with the v-10 that's alot of mileage on it its on its last leg just my opinion

Here's the weird thing. My best friends father is a head mechanic at the dealer.. When I go back tonight I'm call him up from the back. And get him to see what he thinks.
I don't need this truck. My 4.6 f150 runs fine... With 145k miles.. But I have always liked the look of our year 250 trucks.

I would like to think off a big dealership they won't sell me a car that in 6 months is broken.. I just want it to last me say 2 years with no upgrades. (about 20k-30k miles)
And I dunno if a diesel would work well for me.. I work 2 minutes from my house. On a 45 mph road.. That truck would get bored on the daily until the weekend.

The dealership is just looking to unload a truck that they will most likely wholesale for $5k or less. That's a lot of miles. Looks like the guy took care of it, but a vehicle with that many miles will be needing repairs; sometimes costly. I wouldn't do it.

Listen to Garbill. If you want the truck, it is only worth about $8,000 tax, title, and tags, no matter how great it looks, and it does look great.

I agree, no more than 8000, I bought my 2003 Supercrew FX4 lariat with 178000 for 8700.00, it is also super clean. I have 190000 on it now and it runs great still.
