What's your stock ratio and tire size? Divide new ratio by old ratio and new tire diameter (37") by old diameter. If that number is greater then 1, subtract 1 and multiply by 100. If its less then 1, subtract that number from 1 and multiply by 100. This will give you the percentage error for you speed sensor / speedometer. If its under about 25%, you should be OK for a while until you scrape together a few hundred for a tuner.
If u dont want a progammer u can go by FORD and they can reflash the computer for the gear change.~$80

Yea go by a dealer if you don't have money for a programmer right now. you should eventually get one tho IMO just to regain a little power you are losing from the big tires and stuff. plus the if you ver change tires sizes or gears again you can reprogram is just a couple minutes. and btw, the dealer will only have certain options that they can select for gearing and tire sizes, they won't be able to reprogram for 37's and they can't just enter a custom gear or tire size. its a small list of options to choose from, if i remember right they can only program up to 285/70 17 for tire sizes (at least that was the biggest option for my 01). I've plugged in the ford laptop before to play with it and see what all can be programmed is how i know.
